Shows that the Mycenaean Greeks may have worshiped him from about 1500–1100 BC. Traces of a Dionysian cult are found in the Minoan civilization on Crete. His origin is unclear. And his cult comes in many forms. Some ancient sources describe it as belonging to the Thrace people. Some sources describe him as being of the Greeks, in some cults he came from the east. He is an Asian god, among other cults, he is from southern Ethiopia. He was an epiphany, and his "foreignness" as an alien god could be inherited and important to his cult. He is the main god and is popular in Greek mythology and religion. and included in the names of the Olympus Divine Council Dionysus was the last god accepted to Mount Olympus. He is the youngest God and the only one born to a human mother. His festivals were the driving force behind the development of Greek drama. He is an example of a dying god.
He had another name, Bacchus, which was the name given to the Romans. His thyrsus were sometimes intertwined with vines and dripping with honey. which is a handy stick but also a weapon and it can be used to destroy those who oppose His doctrine and the freedoms He represents. He is also called a Liberator who frees the depths of himself by making it mad. or to be extremely happy or with wine, Dionysus's job was to create the music of aulos and to end anxiety[s]. Scholars debate the relationship between Dionysus and "Soul ideology" and the ability to communicate between the living and the dead
